SUSTAINABILITY

Actively contributing to the sustainability and well-being of the communities we serve, creating lasting value over time.

As an Engineering, Construction, and Technology company, much of the work we do delivers critical assets that people rely on in their daily lives  yet doing so requires significant natural resources.

We have a responsibility to minimize our environmental impact throughout the entire project lifecycle, while ensuring that the buildings and infrastructures we deliver are resilient and capable of withstanding physical, social, and economic challenges.

To turn this commitment into concrete action, RIMOND has developed an operational methodology based on ESG goals and Research & Development activities, actively participating in European programs such as the Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus. Through international projects like Rezbuild, Redream, WeShare, and EHHUR, we have tested carbon-neutral strategies, supported the development of Renewable Energy Communities, and contributed to urban regeneration initiatives driven by efficiency, inclusion, and aesthetics.

This integrated approach allows us to create real value for the communities we serve, delivering a sustainable, measurable, and lasting impact.

To support our commitment to transforming our business and leading meaningful change, we are focusing our efforts on three key areas: promoting equity, inclusion, and diversity; responding proactively to the climate emergency; and supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Equity, Inclusion and Diversity

Creating an equal, diverse, and inclusive workforce to reflect the communities in which we operate.

  • Fostering a rich, diverse, and inclusive culture has always been and will continue to be a companywide commitment. We believe that delivering exceptional results is only possible through high-performing teams and these can only be built by including a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. Our ongoing commitment to finding and developing top talent has been a key driver of our success as an innovative company. Our goal is to create a workplace where everyone can thrive because they are empowered to reach their full potential.

  • We are committed to promoting gender balance across our workforce by actively supporting women’s career growth, increasing female leadership, and closing the gender pay gap. As proof of this commitment, RIMOND ICD has earned the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification, a key milestone that reflects our core values and strengthens our dedication to equity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all.

  •

We also strive to build organizational resilience by investing in the next generation of leaders. To achieve this, we aim to introduce a wide range of young people to the many exciting career opportunities available and equip them with the skills and tools needed to pursue them. One way we are doing this is by partnering with some of the most prestigious universities in the regions where we operate to identify and develop new young talent.

Response to Climate Action

Influencing lasting change by designing and building low-carbon and net-zero buildings.

  • RIMOND addresses the challenge of climate change by delivering low-carbon, circular, smart, and sustainable solutions across the entire building lifecycle, from design and construction to operational management. With solid experience in net-zero, low-carbon, and green building projects, we support clients with specialized expertise, turning sustainability into a concrete, measurable, and operational commitment.

Over the years, we have developed an approach based on the DfMA&D concept using off-site prefabricated components designed for easy assembly, disassembly, and reuse a circular strategy that also includes urban mining. These principles are integrated with zero-emission, high-performance materials (such as UHPC), the use of Pop-Up Factories, and the adoption of Lean Construction methods to enable low-impact construction sites.

Our experience has been translated into operational standards and ESG KPIs, validated on-site through smart sensors that ensure sustainability is implemented through real, measurable outcomes.

  • We have also delivered many projects that have been awarded internationally recognized sustainability certifications, such as LEED, CEEQUAL, and BREEAM, as well as local certifications like Estidama, and thus can provide advice on achieving these accreditations.

  • RIMOND strongly supports digital transformation as a strategic lever for decarbonizing the construction sector. The use of digital tools like BIM enables the analysis of embodied carbon, optimization of construction sequencing to reduce environmental impact, and simulation of energy performance early in the design phase. A data-driven approach allows for more informed decisions, enhancing environmental efficiency and enabling measurable, long-term sustainability.
Our expertise in digital design and virtual construction is a key part of our contribution to the ecological transition.

United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals

Supporting the shared global vision for peace and prosperity for people and the planet.

  • The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals are an important driver of change, one which we support whole-heartedly. The 17 goals are an urgent call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and improve the lives of all. As a responsible business, it is our duty to answer this call by adjusting our business activities to support these goals. We have identified 10 of the 17 goals where we can take decisive action to create change for the better.
