The exhibition “Expo and Made in Italy: The Future on Display” celebrated Italian excellence and its strategic role in Universal Expositions, reflecting on the past ten years while offering a forward-looking perspective. Through a multidisciplinary exhibition journey, the event explored Italy’s distinctive contribution to the Expos, positioning the country as a symbol of innovation, sustainability, and culture, and highlighting the outstanding achievements that have made it a global icon of quality and creativity.
The exhibition was inaugurated on April 15, 2025, on the occasion of the National Day of Made in Italy, just days before the opening of Expo Osaka 2025. This event marked a significant moment for Italy, providing a unique opportunity to celebrate and promote Italian excellence worldwide.
The exhibition path emphasized the art of Italian “saper fare” the unique blend of tradition, creativity, and innovation that has made Made in Italy a globally recognized symbol. Beyond celebrating past achievements, the exhibition invited reflection on the strategic and cultural role of Made in Italy in major international events, underlining its economic and social impact.
In an increasingly globalized and interconnected world, this initiative fostered dialogue on future challenges and growth opportunities, promoting Italy’s ability to combine quality, sustainability, and innovation to meet the evolving demands of global markets.
Visitors were guided through an immersive journey featuring content provided by leading Italian figures architects, designers, manufacturers, and construction companies who participated in the International Expositions of the last decade with groundbreaking design works, innovative products, and cutting-edge construction solutions.
Promoted and hosted by OAR the Rome Architects’ Order and the Casa dell’Architettura, the initiative brought together institutions, professionals, and companies committed to enhancing Italian craftsmanship on a global scale.
