On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the FAO MuNe – Museum of Food and Agriculture was inaugurated on October 16, a unique project celebrating the connection between food, culture, and sustainability.
We had the honor of serving as the museum’s Design & Build Partner, transforming the FAO’s creative idea – developed on the concept by GIO Forma – Studio di Design – into an immersive architectural and museological experience.
Covering approximately 1,300 m², FAO MuNe is housed within the historic spaces of the FAO headquarters in Rome, reinterpreting them through a contemporary language that integrates technology, sustainability, and cultural heritage.
Thanks to an integrated approach covering all project phases, from engineering to construction and installation, we ensured coherence between aesthetics, quality, and execution speed, while also contributing to the implementation of museum systems and immersive storytelling solutions.
The exhibition journey communicates the core values of the FAO mission: cooperation, sustainability, and cultural pluralism – weaving together knowledge, art, and innovation to create an engaging experience for all visitors.
FAO MuNe reflects the FAO’s strategic framework and its four objectives – Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment, and a Better Life – in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, becoming a powerful tool for global awareness and education.
